Description
Symptom
It seems that some apps will flicker before going into the correct shape when auto tiled. Not always reproducable but slack and signal both do it somewhat often.
I use a desktop effect called "geometry change" made by the karousel people. I don't need it, but it actually makes this symptom better, not worse. I wonder if it's slowing the animation before a window is opened makes the flicker less obvious.
If I open the app a few times then minimize the window, the flickering seems to stop.
Is there a desktop effect I should be using with Krohnkite to clean up animations and reduce the flickering?
How to Reproduce
- Launch '....'
- Press key '....'
- See error
Expected behavior
A concise description of what you expected to happen.
Environment
- Distro: Opensuse Tumbleweed
- KWin version: not sure how to check this!
- Krohnkite version: 0.9.8.5
- List of KWin scripts in use: No others.
I am on wayland with everything up to date on the kde side.
Notes
Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth - KDE6 killed a lot of auto tiling plugins, so I am super happy krohnkite is back!
