Getting started - Bangle.js 2 won't connect #7839
-
|
I received my bangle.js 2 a few days ago and have been trying, without any luck, to get it to connect to Bluetooth. So far, the device has not been recognized any time I attempt to pair it. I've tried various operating systems and browsers (Linux, Windows, Android, Chrome, Edge). Web Bluetooth doesn't recognize the device and neither does my Android phone. I've followed the official documentation and troubleshooting steps in the wiki. I've tried restarting the watch and any devices I'm attempting to connect to. I've also tried resetting the watch to factory defaults. The watch has never been discovered by or paired with any of my devices even once. Can anyone suggest what I might try next? Thank you. |

Maybe you've tried this already, but you should be able to go to Settings > Bluetooth and press "Make Connectable," then press Yes. |

That’s a really thorough breakdown of the issue with the Bangle.js 2 not connecting. It sure sounds like the hardware might be at fault given how many OSs and browsers you’ve tried, and how you've attempted DFU mode. The response from the team is reassuring—they’re open to replacements if needed — which is always a good sign in an open-source community. Also, on a side note, I recently started using intermittent fasting app https://wellness-app.com/ to manage my weight tracking alongside my wearable, and it’s been pretty solid at keeping things simple and consistent throughout the day. Hang in there — once you get the watch sorted it should pair up nicely! |

I also have issues. It helped to ignore the watch in settings, and try connecting again. Then the app sometimes find the watch again and i can connect, but sadly disconnects again if i try to install apps or change settings. Currently, the watch does not connect at all and also does not find the watch. It did before, but now not anymore. |

Hi, sorry to hear you're having problems. It's extremely strange that you'd have Bluetooth issues as it is something we test before packing them up - but as you've tried multiple devices already, including from DFU mode it sure seems like something is wrong with the hardware.
Please can you send a message to [email protected] with your address, where you got it from, and this discussion, and we will sort out a replacement.
