Request: remove dupes on Saved Searches

I tried removing dupes on Saved Searches and get this error:

This add-on would be infinitely more powerful if it could do that. Thanks!

Saved searches are 'Virtual' folders. I intentionally disabled duplicate removal on such folders, because they show you another "copy" of messages that exist elsewhere, so there's a much higher chance of people accidentally deleting messages that way. Can you provide more motivation to why you find it useful to do dupe searches on search folders?

My particular situation is that I use both POP and IMAP, so there's one situation where deduplication would be useful to me. But the main reason is filtering. Let other tools, like Saved Search filters, do the filtering, and let your tool worry about the duplicates. Yes, some people are gonna blow it. That includes me but I have backups. But I'd rather have a really powerful (although potentially dangerous) tool, than have you protect me from myself 🙂 Thanks
