Understanding how to use pangolin for Matrix federation?

Hi there, I'm pretty confused about how I can use Pangolin to forward back to my newt-running machine where Matrix is running, and using federation. I got Matrix (continuwuity) running perfectly fine and made my account and stuff after I used raw udp/tcp resources to map UDP 8448 back to my continuwuity container

But now federation isn't working and I'm not versed enough in networking to understand what I should do, and if there's anything in Pangolin particularly I should/should've done. Right now when the federation testers try and test my machine, they get stumped because I put in my domain and my IP returns an HTTP response rather than an HTTPS one. All the information I'm reading assumes nginx but I'm using Pangolin.

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction?
