How to get console features working on a tcp connection

I've got the cli working over a tcp connection, the problem is that I don't know how to get the full features, like history, auto-complete, etc. This is because the programs I've tried(nc, socat) all send data after enter, have you ever had to deal with this?

No, I haven't tried using it over tcp. But clearly you need to find some better terminal emulator that will support flushing your buffer. For example putty on windows supports that. I think telnet also might be a solution.

I tried with telnet, but it didn't change anything. What are your recommendations?
I'm on Linux.

Try tio:

tio tcp://your_device_ip:your_port --map ODELBS

I used tio to work with usb connected device and it worked correctly (demo is also recorded with tio)

You mentioned socat, how you tried to use it? Here people suggest to create virtual device:

and then you can connect to it with tio:

tio /dev/virtualcom0 --map ODELBS

I tried socat into stdout and stdin, I tried using a virtual device, but I used picocom to connect to it, when I get back home I'll try tio with the virtual device.
