Hi everyone,
I'm Tejesh Venkat, and I'm applying for GSoC 2026 with FURY under the Python Software Foundation.
Background
• Interested in scientific visualization and Python
• Applying for FURY's GSoC 2026 projects
What I've done so far
• Cloned FURY, set up dev environment (editable install)
• Submitted PR #1165 — VTK 9.6 compatibility for Python 3.14
• Reviewed the GSoC 2026 project ideas and contributing guidelines
What I'm looking for
• Guidance on which good-first-issue would be most valuable to tackle next
• Feedback on my proposed project direction before I draft my full application
• Any tips from past GSoC contributors or mentors
I've read the expectations and am committed to making a meaningful contribution before the application deadline.
Thanks!
Tejesh Venkat
