arcane headless startup issues

I used the docker compose from here.
https://arcane.ofkm.dev/docs/features/environments

When I start up the container I see the below in the logs. Any idea on how to fix this?

Entrypoint: Setting up user and permissions...

Entrypoint: Using PUID=1000, PGID=1000, DOCKER_GID=998

Entrypoint: User arcane already exists with UID 1000

Entrypoint: Docker socket found with GID 999

Entrypoint: Creating docker group with GID 999...

addgroup: gid '999' in use

are you passing the docker socket via a volume into it?

@kmendell sorry just got back to this.

More info on my setup
OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Docker Version: 28.5.0

my compose.yaml ... just ran docker compose up -d ... I also created the arcane-agent/data folder in my volume. This is where I keep all docker folders so I can backup.

  arcane-agent:
    image: ghcr.io/ofkm/arcane-headless:latest
    container_name: arcane-agent
    ports:
      - '53553:3553'
    environment:
      - AGENT_MODE=true
      # Use a strong, temporary bootstrap token for pairing:
      - AGENT_BOOTSTRAP_TOKEN=testtesttest
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock
      - /home/brian/docker/arcane-agent/data:/app/data
    restart: unless-stopped

In the logs above I tried adding a UID and GUID of 1000 ... I removed those and get the below

Logs ... this repeats

Another note I run portainer-agent on this machine also its compose.yaml

Another side note I ran this on my synology NAS using the exact same docker compose and it worked fine. I connected that one to my main arcane instance and everything is working great. Not sure why my Ubuntu box doesn't want to start.
