How can I enable notifications even when the Ghostty window is focused?

I use Codex CLI and Claude Code in Ghostty.

It is very convenient that I get notified when the AI finishes a task or when human input is required. However, I often work across multiple PCs, so I would like to receive notifications even when the terminal window is focused, as long as some action is needed from me.

I have not changed any notification settings from the defaults, and I could not find in the documentation where this can be configured.

Is this something that can be changed in Ghostty’s settings, or is it controlled by the coding agent instead?

If there is a recommended way to configure this, I would appreciate any advice.
