error from running SH-demo.py

Thank you for putting a demo script here.

I tried to run it and got the following error from the function voxelIntensity

target must be a PyVista mesh type

Since I just get started to explore pyvista, I am not sure if the problem comes from the script or the version of pyvista.
BTW, I am using pyvista==0.40.0 and vtk==9.3.1.

Thank you for submitting the issue, and sorry for the late response.

I suspect this might be a version compatibility issue.
Apologies for not including the environment details for this part. When I tested it, my environment was:
pyvista: 0.44.2
vtk: 9.3.1
trimesh: 4.5.3

The current implementation has quite poor performance, especially compared to the original code (by Giovanni). I recommend setting up the environment based on my updated requirements, the results should be way better than those from SH-demo.py.

Are you suggesting to use the original code by Giovanni, that gives better performance than SH-demo.py ?
