`Run As Username` can't be edited on PCs with on-screen keyboard

Description

I am trying to run gitea on a Poco F1, but I can't change the Run As Username filed from gitea to git because the I get no keyboard. All the over edit boxes work perfectly.

The field is readonly in all cases and defaults to the current user that runs the gitea binary. It is informational only and can not be changed.

We can make the UI better by either hiding it entirely or render it as text only.

okay, but then why isn't the user git, why is it gitea when I am running as git and if you're supposed to run as gitea why do the default conifgs run as git?

My impression was it displays the current user of the running process. Maybe there's more conditions to that, I didn't check. But that is a different issue.

Windows is special.

I just ended up going into app.ini and changing it manually, like if I can do that and it works why is it readonly?

That logic is from 2014~2015 gogs/gogs#660 , it unclear why it is necessary or whether it is still needed (whether Windows is still special)

For most users (especially Linux users), they should use the consistent Run User as the current session user (UID), otherwise the instance will just fail to serve.

For advanced users, yes, you can change anything you need by modifying app.ini.

before this goes too far, yes it is for windows and is associated with running as a service.

NOTE: i am not saying this logic isn't redundant just that there are other things to check. I believe it is redundant as for my $windows box i did have this not set as per the doc's and gitea still launched, as the service, as the service file controls what user (ie localmachine) the process shall run as.

Yes, the "RUN_USER" isn't useful at all. At most, it provides the OpenSSH git's username, nothing more.
