Losing command

My Gemini Cli occasionally loses it's ability to read/write files, but it hallucinates that it is still working on stuff.. but essentially turns into a chat bot without access. Kind of strange. I am using it to program/vibe coding in C# and dotnet, it'll be coding along then suddenly just be unable to do anything and since it doesn't save sessions, I'll have to ask it to print a summary/goals/state of the project to the screen so I can copy/paste it into a new session so that the new session will be able to continue where it leaves off. It would be great if there was a way to load a previous session.

I'm having the same problem, it's probably the current version 23 that's causing this. Yes, you can save with /chat save 1 or 2 and so on, then you run /chat resume 1 and recover the history. But this history is only saved in the directory where you started Gemini; if you try to access the resume from another directory, it doesn't appear.

DIGI-183 STEP_101 — Timeline généalogie + veto M1 ✅

Backend (12 tests — 7 genealogy + 5 restore) :

• GET /api/ideas/{id}/genealogy — historique ordonné par date, avec champ generation_summary (non-null pour genius, null pour human_edit/human_restore)
• POST /api/ideas/{id}/restore/{history_id} — restaure la description, insère human_restore dans enrichment_history, sans doublon human_edit
• Schéma GenealogyEntryOut ajouté dans schemas.py

Frontend (2 nouveaux tests — G8/G9, total 9/9) :

• Bouton Restaurer visible sur chaque entrée de la timeline
• Clic → api.restoreIdeaVersion(ideaId, entryId) → mise à jour description + refresh historique
• api.restoreIdeaVersion ajouté dans api.js

Résultats :

• Backend cockpit : 282 passed
• Frontend cockpit : 123 passed
• Genius bot : 139 passed

ACs validés

• ✅ Onglet Généalogie visible si enrichment_history non vide
• ✅ Badge source + timestamp + preview 200 chars par entrée
• ✅ Bouton Restaurer fonctionnel (insère human_restore)
• ✅ GET /ideas/{id}/genealogy HTTP 200 avec versions ordonnées
• ✅ Champ generation_summary présent (null si édition manuelle)
