shadcn: dark theme displaying dropdown with light theme

In dark theme, when using captionLayout="dropdown", the month/year dropdown uses native <select> elements whose popup stays light (system-styled). The trigger can be dark, but the opened list remains light, causing poor contrast inside a dark UI. Setting color-scheme: dark on the container does not affect the popup.

Actual Behavior

• In dark UI, the month/year select popup remains light (system default) even when:
  • captionLayout="dropdown" is used
  • The container has color-scheme: dark
  • Custom classes/styles are provided via classNames/styles
• The popup’s background and option items are light, clashing with the dark surface.

Expected Behavior

• The month/year dropdown should respect dark theme. Either:
  • Native selects honor color-scheme: dark for the popup; or
  • DayPicker provides a non-native dropdown option so consumers can fully style it in dark UI.
