Latest Grafana 6.6.2 and latest Druid 0.17

Hi there,

I would love to get this combination to work.

I downloaded the Druid plugin from Abhishek: https://grafana.com/grafana/plugins/abhisant-druid-datasource

When configuring the Datasource, it registers it OK ... says Druid Datasource is working. I even see the Druid's Datasources, it looks like it is polling the schema OK.

But then, when trying to compose Query or Explore, I get no data. Also, when I try the Query Inspector, I get rotating circle but nothing happens even after a long time (minutes).

There were changes in Druid 0.17 that they switched from select queries to scan queries. I wonder if this can be the issue.

Has anyone been able to get this combination working?

I'm not in the same configuration of you.
Grafana 6.5.3
Druid 0.14 and 0.16
And this version of Druid plugin : https://github.com/societe-generale/druidplugin/tree/master

Most of the time my queries are groupby and topN

I'll try the same configuration as yours and tell you if I will have the same issue.

Did you already succeed in doing query that worked once ?!

Hi, I was not able to get it working and had to move on quickly with some other things. I think that the Druid 0.17 version is the critical piece because of this: https://druid.apache.org/docs/latest/querying/select-query.html <https://druid.apache.org/docs/latest/querying/select-query.html>. Can you downgrade your version of Druid ?
For the moment, I can't upgrade to 0.17

Can you try do do a groupby or a timeseries query ?

But to do the same you have to use the plugin I gave you before

I checked Druid release :

Upgrading to Druid 0.17.0
Select native query has been replaced
The deprecated Select native query type has been replaced in 0.17.0.

Please use the Scan native query type instead (https://druid.apache.org/docs/0.17.0/querying/scan-query.html).

For Druid SQL queries, no user action is needed; the SQL planner will create Scan queries instead of Select queries when applicable.

So we have to develop a new scan function on the plugin and delete the select fuction because it has been deprecated.
