What is hDAO?

○ hDAO is a media governance token. They are distributed through NFTs, composing a curated feed. NFTs, tags, galleries are intended to be organized based on hDAO balances. It's purpose is to create a circular economy.

How do I earn hDAO?

From Hicetnunc's launch (March 1) to mid-April, when you bought an NFT, say for 1ꜩ, you earned 0.5 hDAO, and the seller would also earn 0.5 hDAO. Now that distribution is over, you can only buy hDAO. Continue reading for how to buy hDAO.

Can I convert my hDAO to another token, or use them for anything else?

You can currently swap hDAO to Tezos and other coins at Quipuswap, an automated market-making decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Tezos blockchain. You can also earn a share of trading fees by adding your hDAO to the liquidity pools, although this comes with an element of risk.

What are those little circles on each post? hDAO? What is that?

hDAO is a token that can be used to curate and promote NFTs, the hDAO feeds most curated works (hDAO balances). The current wallet hDAO balance is shown on each Hic et Nunc profile page.

When you curate an artwork, this promotes the NFT. You are sending a custom amount of hDAO tokens to the hic et Nunc hDAO-NFT wallet, and the balance of hDAOs listed on the NFT is increased by this amount. This operation incurs a transaction cost of around 0.011ꜩ.

The creator of the NFT can choose to withdraw the hDAOs from their wallet, keep it, or use it to vote on other artworks. As the creator withdraws or spends the hDAOs, the balance will be reduced from the wallet, also impacting it's promoting power.

The hDAOs appear in your profile and should also appear in your wallet.

Such effort intends to transfer trust along protocol users.

Under your account configuration it's possible to determine how much hDAO it's gonna be used while curating as advanced settings where 1000000 μhDAO = 1 hDAO.
