Checklist

  • I have updated to the latest available Home Assistant version.
  • I have cleared the cache of my browser.
  • I have tried a different browser to see if it is related to my browser.
  • I have tried reproducing the issue in safe mode to rule out problems with unsupported custom resources.

Describe the issue you are experiencing

A while back the confirmation dialog was removed when deleting dashboard cards because there was the toast with undo button.

On automation editor when you delete a trigger/condition/action you get a dialog prompt saying that it "will be permanently deleted" but this is no longer the case with the undo functionality in 2025.10.0. You can see in the gif from release notes where five actions are deleted (with dialog saying it's permanent) and then they're immediately restored via undo.

This prompt no longer seems necessary.

Describe the behavior you expected

Delete without confirmation dialog since user can now undo

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. In automation editor, add any random trigger
  2. Delete that trigger
  3. You will see a prompt saying that it's a permanent action
  4. Press undo button and your trigger will be restored, thus not a permanent action
