No you didn't install it wrong, it has an issue with users that have less admin permissions, so you need to do this menually and it's fairly easy.

You just need to go to the iMA Menu folder in C:\program files\iMA Menu (or just right-click the taskbar > iMA Menu > Directory
Then right-click in an empty space in the app's folder > Manage > Take Ownership

This will give your account the ownership over the app which fixes this issue.
