iMA-Menu in Sandbox

I tried to install iMA-Menu in Windows Sandbox, but without success - can you check what is missing in the lite version of Sandbox? If a solution cannot be found, perhaps a portable version of iMA-Menu with all dependencies?

What didn't work in sandbox? is it the entire app doesn't install, or some features? did you get an error or the installer just doesn't run? also did you try running it as admin?

Glad this works now but can I bother you with a test since I could not reproduce this error on my end?

Could you please try this new installer which uses "icacls grant admin" instead of "grant users" to see if this fixes it in Sandbox?

I saw that all files were extracted before the error and after over 30 tests I found that the problem was with me:

• I have disabled any modification on the desktop in sandbox - the installation stops when trying to create a shortcut on the desktop. If I uncheck the option, the installation works - also works with v1.0.2 (no need additional admin privilege)

Did you also test the other features like iMShare and installing a plugin from the launcher in sandbox? If iMShare didn't crash after setting a code, and the launcher installed a plugin without crashing then eveything else should be fine since these 2 require special permissions to write files like iMShare.json and the plugins files.

feedback:

• all plugins are installed successful, but it is necessary to reload the NSS files for the items/menu to appear - you can leave a brief information about this (ctrl+shift+click or button to restart explorer.exe)
• all .vbs can be done only with NS, so for "Exclusion" and "Reset" you do not need external apps
• i test iMShare, but have error - this is just an attempt, maybe I didn't do something right (code was insert)

• I guess the IDs tab is just informational. - you can add the ability to copy IDs from lists to the clipboard (but there are IDs that have only a name, some that only have an icon, and most that have both; these are not all - I haven't made a complete list yet). For the remaining lists, a button can be added to open the corresponding NSS file for easy editing
• The "Modify" tab look very good - clean and simple. Тhe ability to edit recordings already created by the program is very good too. Since I haven't checked how it recognizes the records, you can warn users not to edit them manually, or create a text file not with the extension nss but something else like ima - NS will recognize it too.
• the themes are good, but after selecting you have to reload the nss files (same as above)

I can't take advantage of plugins because they are not useful to me in my daily life

The panel is much better than the one I saw a year ago, but there is no information on how to use it or in which menu the plugin commands appear - for those who are aware of NS or/and the plugins themselves, they will most likely find their way around quickly (it's easy for me), but for people who have no idea it will be difficult.

There is a way to remove some commands from the context menu, not by targeting the item/menu title, but the guid key that adds that item - the menu speedup in milliseconds, but after removing a few (as you did) there is a noticeable speedup (I will share it when I'm ready) I think it would be a good addition to the program.

• Reloading with Ctrl+right-click is mandetory for Nilesoft to update as you already know, and since it doesn't support a command-line method like "-reload" for example, then manually doing so is needed. I did a little research on "@app.reload" but I did not find a way to make an automation for it after each update to modify or themes, yet.

• .vbs files do not work in Sandbox at all, I'm aware of that, however, using the .vbs script was not the case before, I was using only the .nss to use iMShare to upload, but some complications with how paths are copied with whitespaces and quotations or none quotations have led to using a .vbs instead of interducing multiple steps to fix paths in the script itself, so the .vbs is just a path filter that I later started using.

• The app needs a lot of tutorial and discriptions which I never had the time to do so. I created a placeholder popup for each plugin to have instructions on how to use, or as you suggested "in which menu it'll be, and where to find it".

• As for the removing items, I don't fully understand how is targeting the guid will be used by the user? current implementation is to just target the title of the item without worrying about typing the exact string. e.g: to hide "Open with Visual Studio" user will only need to type "open with vis" which isn't the full title, and it'll find the title that matches these strings and hide it. So, elaborate more on the guid method.

• Looking forward to the menu speedup, and thanks for this informative feedback again.
