Sub documents, validation, and general handling

Hi ichikaway,

What are the plans for the mongodb source to handle documents with sub documents?

In particular, validation is assuming flat arrays of fields which is correct for traditional relational db's. It would be great to have validation handle document model types.

Unless this is a Cake 2 item.

P.S. I wasn't sure where to place this question as it is more a discussion point and not an issue. My apologize for this if incorrect. Perhaps there is a better place for this dialogue? I was thinking CakePHP on Google groups, but last time I didn't get much response about a mongo db question.

I am curious about this as well. I am trying to use validate to enforce a unique field. If I attempt to save a duplicated the DB returns an error as it should but the driver does nothing. I would expect that it puts the error into a structure in the Model.
