Java 21 support plans?

I'm looking to use a Java 21-based Java project in .NET, and I was wondering if there are plans for Java 21 support in the future as many open source projects are no longer supports Java 8

Plans, sure.

In reality there are no contributors to push such an effort forward, so it is unlikely to happen unless something changes.

Makes sense. Given Java 21’s LTS status, aligning future releases with it would really help users migrating from Java 17.
If contributor capacity is the blocker, perhaps documenting the compatibility gaps could make it easier for others to join in.
