Clarity in Power Generation circuit

The circuits drawn seem kind of pointless, are they correct? A redrawing is suggested (are they linear regulators??)
Also, the switched radio circuit is also hard to understand, and the transistors seem useless, as there's no input signal or otherwise control signal used in their switching

Please check against board layout

Adding a direct link to the 5VS Lines (what are those?) would also help with clarity.

To my understanding (poor in this case) the two power generation circuits are similar to these, but they lack the Zener regulator to provide the reference voltage (12 or 5V in this case, I think)

Board check are advised, together with a general trace of the power regulators and similar units, otherwise the schematic is not clear the way is drawn

I'll clarify - the "Switched" here does not refer to the fact that those are supposed to be switching PSUs, but rather to the fact that they can be turned on or off by the microcontroller via dedicated pins; I called those Power Switch (PSW) and Radio Switch (RSW). The circuits use Power MOSFETs (IRF5303s) to switch the power lines.

The power generation circuitry looks like this.

+5VS and +12VS are the "Switched" power lines that come out of the regulators - they are two separate voltage rails that can be turned off by the microcontroller using Q13. The VS lines go to several headers on the board but I don't think they power anything important. The switched radio circuit works similarly, but it's directly connected to header J10.

Turns out I messed up the input voltage -- the battery operates at +12V and not at +24V as I thought, so I need to rework all of the power rails. In short: the +12V rail is directly connected to the battery and is not regulated -- the +5V rail is generated by U7 from the unregulated +12V rail.

So the transistors are used to switch high loads, and the smaller BJT are just pilot devices for the power MOSFETs I suppose

The new revision fixes power distribution across the board -- do you feel like it's OK to close this issue or are you still in doubt regarding Q17 through Q20?
