question: is this the only way to wrap a function, or is there a new way?

This crate is interesting and inline with what I am trying to do, but I would like to know if there is a more official/modern way to accomplish "function / impl-function" wrapping for an aspect like programing style.

Sorry, this crate was mostly an experiment so I haven't given it much love (pretty sure it doesn't capture all the semantics of function signatures).

You could probably come up with a prettier solution using proc_macros now that they're stable. I'm not sure there's an "official" way to do this. Even with impl-function, using macros (either macro_rules or proc_macro) would be the only way to create all-purpose wrappers that aren't tied to a single function signature.
