I was having the same problem. NaN can't be used as a WeakMap key and idb's wrap() function does if (newValue !== value) before setting a value as a key in transformCache, but if (NaN !== NaN) equates to true which is why it causes problems.

Here's how I fixed it for now, not sure if this is the best way but it works:

I noticed this issue has been open for quite some time so would like to hear what others have to say? I've only just started using idb and I'm not super familiar with the codebase, this was just a quick fix.

I just grabbed the index.js code from npm ver 8.0.3.

I also tried recreating it using the recommended installation methods (inline module script tag or external script tag): https://codepen.io/dyhouli/pen/qEZJNgw?editors=1111

The error doesn't log to the console in this case, not sure why, maybe because the script is loaded from an external source? Either way you can see in the test function only the "test start" log gets logged to the console, it never reaches the "test finish" log.
