Music Streaming Online #3966

There have been discussions about this, however they did not materialize. The official recommendation is to use reaper, jack or blackhole + some streaming app like OBS to get the mix of a client which does the streaming. @dingodoppelt may have some more experience |

I'm not sure but I think @digable1 has some prior art around this idea |
You usually grab the audio from a dedicated Jamulus client, which you can use to create a stereo mix and most importantly manually increase the Jitterbuffer sizes to 20 (maximum) so you get the least possible noise from late packets. You then feed the mixed stereo output from that client into OBS (for example) and delay the audio for some milliseconds to match the video latency. |

One day I might make a multi-out (JACK-compatible) plug-in. (And yes, I know how much fun that'll be 😁.) That will happen after replacing the existing jam recorder with a jam recorder plug-in. Mostly because it'll be the same API, just a different back-end. (The API is sort of there -- i.e. how the jam recorder thread captures audio -- just needs to be pluggable and allow multiple subscription.) Definitely server-side for this, of course - with the red banner to let clients know. |
Uh oh!

Hey there
Anyone any experiences with Online-Streaming while using Jamulus? I would love to do music-koop streams with friends in Germany (I am also in germany). Is there any kind of "Master Audio", where all the latencies are synchronized, that I could take this Master Audio inside the stream. I could add the same latency to the video and we would be very much in synch with each other.
