Plex - Sync Media error

I'm getting this error when attempting to sync media. I have Plex setup as the media server and I was able to connect using the server token. Let me know what i could do to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Which error is it specifically? Your post didn't contain any of the error.

Are you using an admin token? 401 means it's not allowed.

I have the same error. When I clic test it says that the connection to plex was successful but it fails the media sync after

If you're getting a 401 it means not allowed. This means your user doesn't have appropriate permissions to access the endpoint - you need to use an admin user's token.

I think I tried that, but I’m going to try it again later today using that guide. How did you format the prefix of the token?

How to find a Plex Token https://support.plex.tv/articles/204059436-finding-an-authentication-token-x-plex-token/. Additionally, you should be using an Admin Plex token.

I got a chance to investigate this more and figured it out. thanks for everyone's help!

1. initially i was using the app to get the token and not going to plex.tv.
2. i wasn't hitting the save at the bottom of the page after making the update. So it appears that my new settings were not getting applied when i would go to run the task.

Maybe this will help someone else if they run into issues.
