I would like to add an estimated reading time indicator (for example, “5 min read”) to blog posts.
The reading time would be displayed on:
- Blog post cards in the listing view
- The header section of individual blog posts
It can appear alongside existing metadata such as the publish date or author.
🎤 Why should this be worked on?
When browsing the blog, there’s currently no indication of how long a post might take to read. This makes it harder for readers to decide which article to open, especially when they are short on time.
Reading time is a common feature on modern developer blogs (Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode) and helps users quickly judge time commitment. Adding this would improve usability and overall reading experience without changing any content.
