Running Pyxel Editor under a Ubuntu VM running on UTM under macOS causes a loss of mouse movement control on the Editor

As the title explains. Running Ubuntu 25.10 (arm) VM on macOS UTM.
Have Python 3.13.7 installed with Pyxel 2.7.3 on this Ubuntu VM
Guest Tools are installed. sudo apt upgrade/update have all been run.

Keyboard and mouse are working just fine under normal Ubuntu, but booting up the Pyxel Editor to edit graphics and sound, I lose mouse control. I can see the Editor cursor arrow in the middle of the screen, but the Editor window doesn't read mouse movement or move from the center of the screen. Clicking works.

I tried changing from wayland to x11, didn't work either.

I have the same issue on Arch Linux with KDE Plasma 6.

I downgraded to version 2.6.7 and it works. Version 2.6.8 gives me an error with SDL, and since version 2.6.9, I've been having the problem described above.

I fixed the mouse processing method in 2.7.4. Please try.

Hello, I am having a similar issue. I am on Pyxel version 2.7.4 and Python version 3.13.11 on Linux using KDE Plasma.

It still has the issue of not tracking mouse movement while inside the editor window, but holding left click will make it follow the mouse. However that means you are constantly left clicking. The cursor inside the editor will also instantly move to the spot at the edge of the window where the real cursor leaves the window. Thank you for your time.
