nvm install issues

when I run nvm setup I'm getting errors:

node-pre-gyp ERR! Tried to download(404): https://fsevents-binaries.s3-us-west- 
2.amazonaws.com/v1.1.3/fse-v1.1.3-node-v64-darwin-x64.tar.gz 
node-pre-gyp ERR! Pre-built binaries not found for fsevents@1.1.3 and node@10.13.0 (node-v64 ABI, unknown) (falling back to source compile with node-gyp)

I'm installing on an iMac Pro running Mojave. Any thoughts on how to correct?

Hi @fossfool, looks like some sort of issue with this url: https://fsevents-binaries.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/v1.1.3/fse-v1.1.3-node-v64-darwin-x64.tar.gz
amazon is giving a 404

I found this comment that indicates there might be an issue with fsevents@1.1.3 on node version 10.

Can you try running the following command to install a newer version of fsevents?

npm install -D fsevents@1.2.4

Let me know if this helps get you past the issue.

This did get rid of the error. It would be good to update the package.json devDependencies in all the projects with:

"fsevents": "^1.2.4",

Update: switching to these, without adding fsevents worked also:

"webpack": "^3.11.0",
"webpack-dev-server": "^2.11.5"
