is this project dead?

was considering using for one of my new projects, but am concerned about longterm viability and if we'll get updates with ports of more of the new stuff from "upstream". is there an alternative I should be using, or what's the status?

project is in standby since there aren't any considerable financial contributions anymore and I need to work on something else atm

in case you are willing to support it, I can resume the maintenance right away
