How do you use kirby-memberkit? 🤔

I always wonder how you implement this repository in your project...
Do you just clone it, do you add it as a submodule (like I do), or what is your work flow?

When I am using the plug-in from time to time I struggle always a little bit to get my head into updating the stripe dependency when working as a submodule. I know that I could use composer but somehow I am not a big fan of it.
