This is a common issue with hit-testing returning empty records. Here are the most likely causes to check:

1. Segments not completed or enabled
Document segments must have both status="completed" AND be enabled. Check your dataset in the console to verify that indexing has finished and segments are enabled. From your screenshot, the status shows "available", but verify the actual segment status inside the dataset.

2. Embedding model not configured
The dataset requires both an embedding model provider and model to be configured. Check your dataset settings to ensure an embedding model is set.

3. If you're on v1.11.0+, database migrations may be needed
Recent versions require schema updates. Run:

docker compose exec api flask db upgrade

Also, the API now expects attachment_ids in the request body:

4. Knowledge base disabled
If the knowledge base became disabled or the collection is inaccessible, hit-testing will return empty results. Try re-enabling it in the console.

1. Open the dataset and check that segments show as "completed"
2. Verify segments are enabled (toggle on)
3. Confirm an embedding model is configured
4. Check backend API logs for specific errors
