Description
Hi,
I just watched your video and I have a question here.
Does it possible to protect the videos chunks from being downloaded by others without providing a key or signature?
I have a plan to create a membership site using blockchain technology and IPFS. Members should be able to watch videos after they signed-up and logged-in.
I want to host the videos on IPFS. But, since it's open network, I'm worried everybody will be able to download the video chunks. They can use browser console to inspect network requests and download the chunks by using IPFS hashes, correct?
Does it possible for IPFS to encrypt the chunks with a key and let browser to decrypt the chunks on the fly when my membership users want to watch the videos?
Or, does it possible to send requests to IPFS gateway to download the video chunks with a signature i.e. ipfs.io/ipfs/HASH/?signature=SIGNATURE-GENERATED-BY-MY-BACK-END?
Thank you for reading this. I do really appreciate your help. If you know any related resources that can help me to achieve this, please share them with me. π
Thank you.
