hanks — in your proposal, which seems to me to be quite technical in nature, please be sure to follow this general format:
Abstract: high-level overview of the proposal
Motivation: reasons behind why this is necessary
Specification: detailed technical spec
Rationale: explain the design decisions around the proposal and how they align with the project
Backwards compatibility: considerations for potential backwards-compat issues
Test cases: outline test cases to for proposed changes
Implementation: specific implementation details (what code changes will be required? what infrastructure changes?)
And be sure to provide citations/references too
