After updating App Store apps, the app shows that it is not downloaded in the App Store

I'm running the latest beta which fixes updating App Store apps. The updates are working but when I go to the App Store, the app that was just updated shows the cloud and arrow logo which suggest the app is not downloaded and installed.

Latest needs to call something like LSRegisterURL(appFolderURL as CFURL, true).

Sorry, I'm not a developer so do not know what that means. Is this a bug or is this expected behaviour from the app?

It's a bug. Latest needs to run an equivalent for the linked code.
