Troubleshooting
Increase the sensitivity in the settings window or check out the Troubleshooting AudioLevel plugin post on the official forums for more help.
Lower the sensitivity in the settings window and if that doesn't work lower the volume of Rainmeter in Windows.
Due to limitations of Rainmeter and the plugin used for the visualization the complete audio output of your system will be shown on the visualizer. This is something I can’t fix.
However there is a option to hide the skin while no media player is running, so it will not show up until it's running.
Download and install the foo_cad plugin found here: http://poiru.github.io/foo-cad/
Uninstall and reinstall Spotify, launch as administrator. Reinstall the skin and check if the newest SpotifyPlugin is installed on your system.
Also try to change your DNS server to the Google DNS and check your hosts file if there are any Spotify servers blocked there.
If you are using AVG, please disable Link scanner as shown in the gif below:
If the problems still persist, open an issue.
You will need to install a browser extension for it to work. Currently there is a Chrome and a Firefox extension. You may be asked to add an exception to your firewall when connecting for the first time.
Open the player, click on the menu in the top-left corner and open the Desktop Settings. Then enable the Playback API and restart the player. You may be asked to add an exception to your firewall.
Open the MusicBee settings (Edit -> Preferences), click on Plugins in the menu and enable the CD Art Display plugin.
