Additional line break when attempting gap fill question when using log in as

Describe the bug
The display of a gap fill question when using the log in as functionality shows a line break before the gap fill. This only happens when using log in as.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a course and enrol student users.
2. Turn edit mode to On.
3. Add a quiz activity.
4. Add a Gap fill question, type a name and then the following on the text:
   The green [mat] is [really] cool.
5. Go to the course participants page.
6. Click a student user and click "Log in as".
7. Go to the quiz and attempt quiz.

RESULT: There is a line brake before the first answer fill.

Expected behavior
The question should be all printed displayed in one line.
