api.HTMLInputElement.webkitdirectory - doesn't mention which browsers support multi directory selection #28771

Description

What type of issue is this?

Missing compatibility data

What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

The documentation provides an example of selecting multiple directories using . Neither Firefox nor Chrome support this (tested on Windows 11). They only support selection of a single directory.

What browsers does this problem apply to, if applicable?

Firefox, Chromium (Chrome, Edge 79+, Opera, Samsung Internet)

What did you expect to see?

The compatibility data should show one row for "webkitdirectory" support (like it does) plus an additional row for support of "webkitdirectory multiple". It should be clear from the compatibility data that the multi directory example in the documentation isn't widely supported.

Did you test this? If so, how?

Tested Firefox and Chrome on Windows 11. Didn't have access to test on other operating systems to see if it is a Windows-specific thing.
