Set slicer and filters in reports

Hi - Apologies if this is already available.

I would like to understand if it would be possible to programmatically set various slicer values within a Power Bi report through semantic link labs, and set report/page filter values.

Using PBIR this would significantly speed up maintenance and development time across many reports across different workspaces.

Yes, this is a good idea. Just curious - what type(s) of slicers are you interested in? Basic/advanced etc?

Great question!
I think it really depends on what’s technically achievable, as I can see strong use cases for both options. If this functionality could be implemented, it would address a significant limitation in Power BI Desktop and Service — namely, the inability to set default slicer values dynamically using an fx function
