Mono-GNU/Linux

is anyone testing P8Coder on Mono, on GNU/Linux? please let us know, i’m really curious (it’s actually the only possibility i have for running P8Coder!)

I have tried it just now.
There is only one component in the project made by someone else which is the FastColoredTextBox.

After installing mono like apt install mono-complete (mono-runtime does not include support for Windows Forms) and running the application with mono P8Coder.exe I get an exception from FastColoredTextBox. There's a request for this here but it seems to be added only in forks: PavelTorgashov/FastColoredTextBox#12

I'm not sure when I can work on this but it should be feasible. It requires to make some changes in FastColoredTextBox preferably with detection in code like if(Type.GetType ("Mono.Runtime") != null) and not using precompiler statements to allow for a single release binary that works in .net and mono at the same time.
