mdl-select blur and focus breaks autocomplete

When user type something in the autocomplete textbox of mdl-select and then click outside of the component, the autocomplete mechanisms seems to be broken. Visible autocomplete options are filtered by previously typed text, which is not longer displaying. To fix the autocomplete mechanism it is necessary to type a new text.
