What do you think about a version of NomadBSD based on DragonflyBSD?

DragonflyBSD is very similar to FreeBSD. I use the same set of pkg packages on both systems. The experience is pretty much the same.

Actually Dragonfly diverged much from FreeBSD. It was forked off FreeBSD at FreeBSD 4.x, now we're at FreeBSD 14.
We'd like to focus on FreeBSD.

This is only true if you want to develop kernel modules. DragonflyBSD imports new changes from FreeBSD frequently and their DPorts is a fork of FreeBSD's ports. DragonflyBSD is a very capable platform, very different from your imagination (an outdated fork of FreeBSD).

We'd like to focus on FreeBSD.

DragonflyBSD's release cycle is longer than FreeBSD. You have a stable base and only have to care about pkg packages.
