Brought up by Simon Dedman:

converting VRL files to CSV:

    # https://stackoverflow.com/questions/67745382/vemco-acoustic-telemetry-data-vrl-files-in-r
    # remotes::install_github("ocean-tracking-network/glatos")
    library(glatos)
    csvfiles <- glatos::vrl2csv(vrl = file.path(loadloc, "VRL/"),
                                outDir = file.path(loadloc, "VRL/"),
                                vueExePath = "C:/Program Files (x86)/VEMCO VUE")
    detections <- do.call(rbind, lapply(csvfiles, read.csv))

Probably doesn't make sense to weave this into actel since we'll be transferring the data importing duties to Surimi. We should transfer the glatos data import functions too.

glatos's vrl2csv could be called by actel's compileDetections.
