We currently have a list "Other OntoPortal instances" on our portal homepages.
Problem is that this list is local to each portal and not synchronized. Each portal needs to update their code each time a new portal in the Alliance is added.
Plus, we do not have a mechanism to register the fact that a portal is or not "federable" i.e., can formally be integrated in the federation.
This issue is about adding somewehere in the web site a YAML or JSON file that will contains the reference list of portals so other portals can consume to display the list on their homepage. This list will have to be updated once each time a portal join the Alliance and is ready to be displayed on other portals.
The minimum information needed are: name of portal, link to Web app and color for the genric logo. Plus, this list must contain a property "federation=true/false" that will help the other portal confirm this is a portal in the federation.
