Remove the branches in the repo?

I notice that there are a lot of branches in the repo. Are those still useful (and if so, how/why?), or should we remove them?

@dbluhm -- what do you think? I'm guessing you and dependabot made a lot of them :-).

Yeah probably lol. We can probably purge most. Some might be of interest to Indicio still. I'll arrange for Indicio to fork the repo and pull back down any branches of interest. A lot of it is probably just that we should have turned on auto-deletion of branches after merging PRs.
