the task is to solve $eqn = "$a b^4 - $b = $cc";
The solution only accepts ($cc+$b)/$a)^(1/4)") and -(($cc+$b)/$a)^(1/4).
In my opinion the imaginary solutions should be also added to the solution set. Students at this level should be familiar with complex numbers already.

This question is in the "Algebra" subject of the OPL, which I believe is intended for students at the pre-calculus level. In fact, the textbook referenced in the problem only considers real solutions, so I think that this question is behaving as intended.

I can add a comment to the question indicating that it is only expecting real solutions, though I would recommend that if you want the ask for all complex solutions that it be saved as a different problem.
