New -> bluetooth notification breaks screen layout

Installed the latest bangle.js 2 cutting edge firmware (2.28.73 - was on an older 2.28 cutting edge before (possibly .23 or .28)) and it added a "-> bluetooth" notification overlay once bluetooth dis/connects. This overlay breaks the whole screen layout.

Have not found an option to disable it and no related forum posts.

Smaller other issue, the same firmware also does "wake on twist" after firmware update, despite the setting not being enabled. Enabling and disabling the setting works to disable the behaviour again.

So are you saying this only just started happening, or it's happened in both builds?

The -> Bluetooth text is almost certainly because you have set Debug to Display or Both in settings. So go to Settings -> Utils -> Debug and set it to Off and it should work fine

Correct, this only started after updating to latest cutting edge. "Debug" option was "off" already. Re-enabling and disabling again did not help, -> bluetooth message is still showing, when enabling/disabling bluetooth on the phone. Will try another full reboot.

Mainly wanted to flag if others are seeing this as well. If it's just me, not a big issue. Installed cutting edge knowingly.

Please can you try another absolute latest cutting edge, as well as the new bootloader from https://espruino.github.io/BangleApps/ ?

Maybe also settings -> utils -> rewrite settings

I think it could have been a known issue with the recent firmware that caused the bootloader some problems, and then maybe the settings got only partially written to .boot0 so the debug setting didn't get applied

Updating to latest cutting edge 2.28.77 -and- updating the bootloader fixed the issue. Thank you!

Interestingly, the Gadgetbridge app (bangle.js version) did not show that updated bootloader version (was still showing 0.67 as latest, otherwise would have installed it) - it installed 0.69 from https://espruino.github.io/BangleApps/

Oh that is interesting, thanks for letting me know! I guess it must be cacheing the cutting edge firmware page
