Plex Connect Plugin - wrong track playing, playlist out of sync

Using Plex Playlist

No matter what i do i cant get the Plexamp player to show the correct playing track.

• MA Player seem to always show the correctly playing song
• Selecting a song in Plexamp it will start playing a completely different song.
• Selecting a song from MA the wrong track is displayd within Plex.

Seem to be some out-of-sync issue, might be related to being a playlist but not sure.

Have you tried playing an album or orphan tracks?

Morning @anatosun, i had a look this weekend, and couldn't for the life of me replicate the issue now, tried playlists, album, tracks, starting/stopping player from both plex and MA, skipping tracks etc. Had this several times last week (at least every time using playlist) and now that i finally needed it to fail, it worked great. Might it have been fixed by another update?

Not sure what to tell you except i did have a lot of logs like the ones i gave you above but none this weekend. i will let you know if it presents itself again.

No problem, it could have been an issue with the underlying mass player, that was meanwhile fixed. Let's keep this issue open for now. Thanks for testing and taking the time to report the issue here; these types of feedback are very valuable.

Hi, I'm facing a similar issue. I recently started using Music Assistant and connect to my Plex library.
We put a song to play from an album or playlist, and our phones and Plex say its streaming over a song, but Music Assistant is playing a completely different one. Pausing and playing still works, but the wrong track plays.

Here's an image showing what Plex says is playing and what Music Assistant is actually playing:

Application/Plugin Versions:

• Music Assistant: 2.7.11
  ** Player - UPnP/DLNA
  ** Provider - Plex Connect Plugin
  ** Provider - Plex Media Server Library
• Plex: 4.159.0

If this isn't related in some way, please let me know and I'll open a new Issue.

Still have the same issue as well, just haven't really had the time to have a proper look and report back. my suspicion is that its a plex problem as,

1. It seem to affect the same tracks each time
2. Not 100% sure but think plex just skips these tracks and goes on to the next, while HA plays the track correctly and voilà, they are out of sync.

Not sure why plex would skip some tracks, if its a codec issue or what, but this is how I have understood the issue after learning to just live with it.
