I have a Vatrer 100Ah 48v wall mount battery I was hoping to bring into home assistant via this integration. I have a different battery that has JK bms and can see that into home assistant without any issues, but the integration doesn't appear to recognize this particular Vatrer battery/BMS. Thanks in advance!

I can see the battery via the advertisement monitor:

Hmm, Vatrer I have supported, but this model looks different than the others.

Can you please provide

• the information from the service explorer script
• see if you are able to capture the Bluetooth traffic on Android or iOS while using the vendor app with the battery.

The latter would help the most the identify the BMS and enable it if already supported.

Good news, I was able to replicate your battery, in order to write an integration.
Bad news, I don't know how to identify your battery.
The name looks strange: "250320512100045". Could it be a date 25-03-20, the voltage 51.2 the size 100A and then 045 no idea? Did you change the name? Do you know of any patterns in the name that would help identify?

Glad you were able to make some progress towards writing an integration. I did not rename the battery, and the name matches the bar code that’s on the battery and shipping box (see pic). Seems like the number above it is the serial number, but your guess seems as good as any as to what the 250320512100045 actually represents or how Vatrer came up with it. Sorry I don’t have any insights!

Can you please install the branch linked to this issue (see column on the right under development) via manual install and see if it fixes the issue? If you could provide me a debug log for final check it would be very helpful.

Thanks, so far I haven't noticed anything, but will post if anything comes up. Look forward to the 2.0.0 release. BTW, it sounds like this is a different BMS that Vatrer has used in their other products, hence the need for a new integration? Do you have any info on what brand BMS it is? I have not had any success connecting directly to the BMS via the usual apps, for the purposes of trying to change settings, which is not possible with the Vatrer app.

Yes, your battery uses a different protocol than the other once, so I had to write a new plugin to accommodate for it. The version jump is due to some internal restructuring that I'm doing in parallel.

Do you have any info on what brand BMS it is?

No unfortunately not, I tried to find some YouTube videos with teardowns to identify the BMS but was not successful.

Just FYI, and not sure if I did something wrong on my end, but a recent upgrade to HA version 2025.10 seems to have broken the integration (2.0.0 beta 6). Re-installing didn't seem to help. Reverting to the latest stable version 1.21.0 was fine, but then of course, I no longer can see my Vatrer battery.
