Hi Pieces Support,

I restored my database from backup (April 6 backup). The data is present locally but I need help identifying which account it belongs to.

My situation:

• I have Apple ID and GitHub with the same email: finnyi2017@icloud.com,
• I don't remember which one I originally used to sign in to Pieces
• When I sign in with Apple ID now, it shows my GitHub avatar instead

Questions:

1. Can you check which account (Apple ID or GitHub) was originally associated with my data?
2. How do I properly link my restored database to the correct account?

I hope you can help me clarify which account my data belongs to. If it's not possible to determine, can you simply merge these two accounts?

Additionally, I recall that I previously linked Google and Microsoft accounts to my Pieces account, but I don't see them now. Is this a problem with my memory, or is there an actual issue?

Note: After the database crash, my downloaded AI models are also missing. Do I need to re-download them or are they stored elsewhere?

Please advise on next steps.

Thank you for reaching out to support

I see that you had a number of issues

1. your account should be linked up properly on our authentication service(we double checked the data is looking proper), there was a little tweak we need to make to ensure the email is getting propagated to the ui properly, however should be gtg in next few hours

2. with regard to the account finnyi2017@icloud.com; I am only seeing apple and github; a limitation is that email needs to match inorder to properly link, which is why you are not seeing your microsoft and google account

Side note: all of your data is stored on device, so regardless of account your are signed in with your data (memories) will remain the same.

3. you mentioned that your database crashed, in order to restore your database from a backup we recommend that you schedule a call; because this process can be a little touchy and prone to data loss if done incorrectly
