[Enhancement] Option to restore old mute button position

Abstract

Steps to see the situation

After updating to Firefox 140 (from 138) the mute button moved to the left of the tab title in version 4.2.0, making it much harder to find which tabs are playing than before. It used to be I could visually scan the right side of the tree and the audio button would stand out and be very obvious.

It seems this was an intentional change in 44a9e4c but I think it's worse now.

Expected result

I can hack around it with CSS, but when I first updated TST I thought the audio button had disappeared.

Actual (present) result

The playing indicator/mute button is on the left, which makes it hard to differentiate from the title of the tab. A tab with that icon as part of its title would be completely indistinguishable.

Environment

• Version of Firefox: Firefox 139+
• Version (or revision) of Tree Style Tab: 4.2.0, 44a9e4c

Seeing as TST's design goals are to mimic the native tab bar (which now includes the position of the audio indicator) this is likely the expected behavior. CSS might be your best bet unless @piroor wants to make an exception.

Yeah, I get that it is matching the native tab bar, which is why this is an enhancement, not a bug report.

That being said, I think the horizontal position of the audio button doesn't matter as much with horizontal tabs. With horizontal tabs there will either be very few tabs or the tab will be horizontally squished until little of the title is visible, leaving just the favion, audio button, and occasionally close button, making it easier to scan for which tab is playing audio. With vertical tabs more of the title is going to be visible and the audio button is not visually distinct from the title, making it hard to spot.

For anyone finding this bug with the same complaint, this is some quick and dirty CSS to make the button easier to use.

Sorry TST won't provide special options for this kind customization if we can do it with the user stylesheet easily.
