pixi build and pixi global install similar to uv build and uv tool install

Coming from uv workflow, I was wondering if there is a building and installation workflow similar to uv. Currently I can setup a uv project, using the .whl or .tar.gz generated from uv build can be shared to other machines and installed as a global tool using uv tool install <path/to/>.whl. I do realize pixi build is still in preview but is there a similar workflow in pixi?
